Social Media Updates

Hi there,

In this week’s social media updates, I have added a mini tutorial about social media strategies. TikTok has released some fall trends, and I am curious if you already know them all.

In other news, I am travelling to London next week and will pause my podcast for a little bit, but in the meantime, help me brainstorm new ideas; you can reply to this email with your thoughts.

Now let’s dive in with social media updates:

Social Media Marketing Updates

Looks like I am totally in trend because #booktok is back on the list 😀Also, did you know that the #cucumbersalad trend sold out cucumbers in many stores?

How to create a social media strategy

Before you post anything on social media, you need to know your or your client's main goal. Is it brand awareness, gaining followers (this is mostly only relevant if you are an influencer), or generating leads or sales?

Once that's established, the next step is CRUICAL: you need to know the target audience. How old are they? Where are they from? What are other attributes and most importantly what are their pain points and desires?

If you don’t do this research in advance you can’t create content that converts!

Based on that research you want to figure out which platforms the target audience hangs out most and therefore decide which platform you suggest to your client to be active on. There is no point in having Snapchat if your target audience is over 60.

After that, you outline the content pillars. This depends on your clients goals and industry. For example, if you have a coach as a client you will add a content pillar “education” and suggest to create educational content to establish trust with an audience and showcase knowledge.

Then you give an overview for each channel aka why did you choose this channel and what kind of content should be created for that channel. I also suggest to create some example posts for each channel.

The easiest way to create a social media strategy is with our brand-new strategy template. You can get yours here for the next 24h with a special discount.

This template has everything listed above and so much more like brand guidelines and competitor analysis.
