Cold messages do work! I know they get a bad rep, but inside my Social Shells Program, I show my students that cold messages can work. You have the option to reach out to anyone via the internet—use it! Proof of that is the recent deal to sell Beyond Yoga for $400mil. The initial contact was made via a cold message on LinkedIn.

In a recent post, the head of Instagram mentioned that hashtags don’t really do anything for your visibility. This has caused quite a stir, and over the next few weeks, you will see a lot of “experts” telling you what to do and what not to do. My number one tip in this situation is always to run your own tests! Data never lies!! We still use hashtags, and we rank in those hashtags and increase our visibility; for some accounts, 20 hashtags work well and for others, only 6, but neither I nor anyone else can tell you what works for you.
Of course, the prediction is that in the future, hashtags will not work anymore, and keywords will only be used a bit like on threads, but for now, see what works for you and your clients by testing!
