Social Media Trends

Strange trends and new features

Hi there,

This week’s hot topic is Mark Zuckerberg's idea for everyone to have an AI version of themselves interacting as an AI chatbot. I remember once upon a time when social media was actually social, and you would create content to interact with others. Anyway, that’s my opinion now; let's dive in with all the updates and marketing tips.

Due to popular demand, I am also adding a trending section, and we are starting off strong with an “interesting” TikTok trend, lol

Social Media Marketing Updates

  • Meta launched a new AI studio that lets you create your own AI bot based on an AI version of yourself. Creators will be able to create auto-replies from their AI version and dictate which specific accounts it’s allowed to interact with.

  • GREAT News for Social Media Managers. Meta Business Suite is rolling out new Story scheduling options

-So far, I have these options only on the mobile app, but better than not having them. I can now add links and location tags and schedule the stories!

  • Instagram rolled out new features and filters when using Notes.

  • TikTok is rolling out voice search.

  • New TikTok feature lets you look for songs like Shazam by humming them.

  • New Meta event feature shows you if you’re following best practices with your pixel events.

  • Capcut has a new section for AI tools.
